Postpartum Doula Care

“Mothering the Mother”

Welcoming a new baby into your life is an exciting, yet intense experience and often much of the focus is on labor and birth. When a new baby comes home many parents often feel lost or in over their head, as a postpartum doula I can provide essential support to help your family get the best possible start with your new baby. A postpartum doula not only helps to ease the transition for new parents, they also aid in creating an environment where recovery and healthy transitioning for a growing family can occur. As your postpartum doula, I can provide support in the following ways: Emotional support, physical comfort, Infant care, informational support, advocacy, partner/father support, support mother/father with infant, supporting mother/father with sibling(s), meal preparation, and household organization.

Newborn Care

As your newborn care specialist I have been professionally trained to offer guidance, support, and instruction to new parents during those first few months of baby’s life. A newborn care specialist  typically works with families for eight to sixteen weeks after the baby is born, but my services can be shortened or extended depending on the parents’ needs.

As a NCS I am professionally trained and experienced in all things related to newborns – from feeding and sleep schedules, to diaper changes, and overall baby care. I am also adept at helping the birthing person recover from childbirth and manage their own health and well-being during the postpartum period.
